What you provide directly
We collect personal information you provide when you join our waitlist or create an account, use the dewwie chat interface or complete a skin profile, subscribe to communications, contact us with questions or feedback, or participate in surveys or research. This may include your name, email address, and information about your skin, health, lifestyle, and the products you use.
What we collect automatically
When you use our Services, we may automatically collect device and browser information, your IP address and approximate location, usage data such as pages viewed and features used, and information via cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).
Sensitive information
Health information you share about your skin conditions, medications, allergies, or related health history is sensitive information under the Privacy Act. We collect this only to the extent necessary to provide our Services, and only with your implied or express consent in the context of seeking skin health guidance. We will not use or disclose this information for any other purpose without your explicit consent.
We use your personal information to provide, operate, and improve the dewwie Services; personalise your skin health guidance based on your profile and history; respond to your questions and support requests; send service notifications and product updates; send marketing communications where you have opted in; conduct research and analytics; comply with our legal obligations; and detect and prevent fraud or security issues.
We will not use your personal information for a secondary purpose unless that purpose is directly related to the primary purpose, or you have consented.
We collect and use personal information on the basis that it is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities, that you have provided consent – including by choosing to share health and skin information to receive personalised guidance – or that we are required or authorised by law.
You may withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting hello@dewwie.com. This does not affect our ability to send you service-related communications.
We may share personal information with trusted third-party providers who assist us in operating our Services, including cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, AI model and analytics providers, email and communications platforms, and payment processors.
These providers are engaged under contracts requiring them to handle personal information in accordance with our instructions and applicable privacy law. We do not authorise them to use your information for their own purposes.
We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law; to protect the rights or safety of dewwie, our users, or others; with your explicit consent; or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, subject to confidentiality obligations. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Some of our service providers are located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose personal information to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access – including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve our Services and understand how they are used. These include essential cookies required for the Services to function, analytics cookies that help us understand usage patterns, and preference cookies that remember your settings.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect functionality. We do not use cookies to deliver third-party advertising without your consent.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Skin and health data you share through the chat interface is retained to support continuity of your personalised guidance. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time – see section 9.
Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate or outdated information; request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal requirements; withdraw consent to marketing communications; and complain about how we have handled your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@dewwie.com. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity. We do not charge a fee for access requests.
Dewwie's Services are not directed at children under 15. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us at hello@dewwie.com and we will delete it promptly.
